Construction Set to Begin on Staten Island Senior Assisted Living Center

NYCEDC Announced the beginning of construction on the Seaview Senior Living Center, a modern, state-of-the-art, private-pay senior residential facility.

The 103,000-square-foot, 188-bed assisted living and memory-care facility will be accompanied by a 11,500-square-foot building for social and recreational use by residents that will be placed on Brielle Avenue, between Walcott and Rockland avenues.

Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg today announced a new program that will make available $5.5 million in matching grants for New York City businesses most impacted by Hurricane Sandy.

This grant program – which is being funded with $5 million from the Mayor’s Fund to Advance New York City, as well $500,000 from the Partnership for New York City – will be administered by the New York Business Development Corporation and was developed in collaboration with the City’s Economic Development Corporation and Department of Small Business Services.

Build NYC Approves Tax-Exempt Financing For New York City Non-Profit Institutions

Build NYC Resource Corporation (Build NYC) today approved approximately $76.5 million in tax-exempt financing to assist four New York City non-profits. Seaview Senior Living Housing Development Fund Corporation, a not-for-profit organization formed by The Metropolitan Council on Jewish Poverty and Leewood-Seaview, was approved for approximately $33.6 million in tax-exempt bonds.
